Collin Makariak

Collin is a pianist, composer and music teacher based in the Greater Toronto area. He began his journey in music playing piano at age 6 and never looked back. A graduate of Acadia University with his bachelor’s of music in composition, Collin furthered his studies at a graduate level with a specialization in film scoring.

As a composer, Collin’s music ranges from the intimacy of solo and chamber music, to grandiose orchestral works, to even more modern mediums such as jazz and electronic music. His music has featured in a number of local indie films.

Collin is a high end piano player who has featured in Acadia University’s orchestra as a leading performer, playing difficult pieces covering many genres. Just recently he has been singing as well, expanding on his past experience in multiple choruses, providing the voice for many of the male characters in our demos and will be featuring in the ensemble.

In addition to his roles in the ensemble and as secondary composer, Collin will be teaming up with Ihoist to handle instrumentation for the musical, as well as mixing and mastering. He hopes you have as much fun listening to Fated as he’s had working on it.
